Asher Conversation

[driving home at 8:30 pm]

Dad to Asher: "You're a good boy, Charlie Brown."

Asher: "No! I'm not Charlie Brown. I'm Asher. Charlie Brown is Snoopy's little brother."



[still driving home two minutes later]

Asher rambling: "Asher Brown, and Snoopy Brown, and Charlie Brown..."

Lunchtime Coversation

12:37 p.m.

[Asher & Dad shake hands while sitting at kitchen table.]

Dad: "Nice to meet you, Asher. You're a really good boy."

Asher: "Yeah. Dad's a good boy too. (pause) Mom's a good boy (pause) no! (pause) Mom's a good girl!"

Breakfasttime Conversation

6:47 a.m.
parents bedroom

Dad: "Asher, what do you want for breakfast? Puff pancake or eggs and potatoes?"

Asher: "No. I want noodles."

Dad: "OK. Sometimes we eat noodles for lunch and dinner. And sometimes we eat pancakes or oatmeal for breakfast. But you can have noodles if you want."

Asher: "Ya. I want noodles right now."

Mom: "Do you want anything on top of your noodles? Sauce, Cheese...?

Asher: "Ya. French toast!"

Dinnertime Conversation

We're having some great conversations with Asher these days. Here's a sample from last night:

Dad: "Asher, who is older, mom or dad?"
Asher: "Mom."

Dad: "Who is cuter, mom or dad?"
Asher: "Mom."

Dad: "Who is better at soccer?"
Asher: "Asher!"

Mother's Day Photos

*The first tomato is upon us. I was hoping to wait until Julianne and Asher get back from San Francisco on Monday, but I don't think it will make it... tomorrow it will be consumed.
